What is the educational philosophy of Lutheran school?
The standard-bearer of Lutheranism is Martin Luther (1483- 1546), a German priest who initiated the Reformation. In order to spread Protestant teachings and win more believers, Luther attached great importance to education and advocated vigorously developing and popularizing primary education. In order to gain the support of secular regime, Luther proposed that education is not only beneficial to the church, but also to the country, so the country should grasp the right to education and implement compulsory (compulsory) education. In addition, Luther believed that parents should also be responsible for educating children, and the church should actively run school education. Luther's thought had a far-reaching impact on the participation of Protestant churches in the development of national education and modern education.
