What is the social paradigm of the difference between Chinese and English educational methods?
First, the social security system. Compared with China, Britain has a superior social security system. In the welfare society, British students do not have to pay tuition fees to go to school, and the state provides them with a learning platform for free. This has also led to a stereotype in their thinking: learning is free at the beginning, and I will do it if the country asks me to study. So it can also explain why British students are not as motivated as China students. If the welfare system in Britain is destroyed, students like China will have to pay tuition fees, or at least they will think that learning costs.

Second, the cultural differences between China and Britain. Western society is individualism and the East is collectivism, which is the primary emphasis in cultural psychology. In Britain, children always think that I am an individual and have no strong collective consciousness. The first episode of physical education class's physical examination impressed me the most: I have tried my best, why should I compare with others? Therefore, in their studies and exams, they often take themselves as the reference point, while China students obviously take the collective as the reference point. This is also a reason why they are not so motivated to learn.

Third, the focus of education. Britain's economy is developed, its social security system is perfect, and its employment pressure is far less than that of China. Therefore, traditional British education focuses on developing children's advantages and helping them find their own interests. However, under the severe domestic competition, China's education direction has to turn to British education, while quality education only exists in developed areas such as Beishangguang and other developed areas with developed economies and superior platforms. The difference in emphasis also explains why among Chinese and English students of the same age, the basic knowledge of British students lags behind that of China students, but the creativity and exploration ability of British students are stronger than that of China students.
