If you plant the seed of an apple, you will never grow a peach tree or bear a peach.
What is a seed? The essence of seeds is "life". Every seed contains a source of "birth".
For example, a peanut has its own strength, that is, its inner vitality. This vitality is called "sacred spirit", and this "sacred spirit" is the inherent essence of this peanut. Without this "sacred object", this peanut will lose its meaning as a "seed" and just become people's food.
And where did this "birth" come from? For children's education, why do children grow up like this? Why is there such behavior? Why do children have such personality characteristics? It is generally believed that this is the result of parents' inheritance, family influence and school education, but is this the fundamental factor of children's current behavior?
Nowadays, there are many "determinism" in the growth of children. For example, the quality of parents determines the quality of children, and the family determines the fate of children; Teachers and schools determine children's growth, environment determines life, social class determines life, knowledge determines life, wealth determines life and so on.
So what determines the growth of a child's life? Look closely at the society and our life, and you will find that parents, families, teachers, schools, friends, society and so on. All these have an important influence on children's lives, but none of them seems to determine their lives.
For example, parents who are illiterate and poor can also cultivate excellent talents; In the family of intellectuals, the growth of children is often a headache; A mother, the same family growth environment and school education environment, even twins, the two children's personalities and fates will be very different; What determines a child's life? Nothing seems to really decide. In the eyes of teachers, parents and family are decisive factors for children's growth, so they especially admire "parental determinism" and "family determinism" to find more reasonable reasons for their educational failure; From the perspective of parents, of course, I think that normal schools have a great or even decisive influence on the growth of children, and that meeting a good teacher can change the fate of children. At the same time, I also found a step for my unsatisfactory parenting style: the child did not meet a good teacher.
Each has its own reasons, but it is obviously not sufficient.
In other words, who planted the children, the seeds of life? Some people say parents, of course. But who planted the seeds of children's character and destiny? Are they parents and family? If it's parents and families, why is there such a big difference in children's personality and fate in the same family with the same parents? Is it school, teachers, society and friends? Why is there such a big difference in children's learning in the same classroom, the same teacher, the same social environment and the same friend, some people are good and some people are bad? Who planted the seeds of children's character and destiny? Who became the soil, sunshine and water of this seed?
In other words, what determines the "birth" of the essential power in children's seeds?
I'm afraid there is only one explanation that makes sense, and that is the "karma" of Buddhism.
A person has created various "karma" in his past life, and the fruit-"seed", the child's character and destiny, has long been formed. After several cycles, he has come to the present with such parents, such families, such teachers and schools, such society and friends. Past lives, including the present, I planted good causes and enjoyed myself; If there is an evil cause, there will be suffering, if there is no evil cause, there will be good, and if there is no evil consequence, there will be no good. The career you have created is big and small, there are many and few, there are good and evil, and there are good and evil. Therefore, even if people are born in the same family and the same growth environment, the fate, personality, behavior and growth process of children will be very different.
More importantly, what goes around comes around, that is, the seed of a child's life and destiny, and its "birth" conditions are also different. Even children born in the same parents' family will be different because of the people they meet, the things they have experienced and the books they have read.
This leads to a completely different, unique and diverse life.
That is, children's seeds are different, and the causal conditions for the birth of seeds are also different. It is precisely because of this that we have an extremely complicated, extremely rich and extremely colorful social life.
How to measure the education of these children with the same standard?
You know, any seed, from the Buddhist point of view, has six elements:
1, instantly extinguished; That is impermanence. Every seed is constantly developing and changing. They are constantly growing and developing. No seed is permanent. Unless the seed is completely sealed, its internal "ascending" force is completely controlled, and it is not in contact with any karma. Then this seed will lose its meaning, which is of course impossible for children. Therefore, children, the seeds of life and destiny, are destined to be constantly developing and changing, and children cannot be static. This is the premise of educating children.
2. All fruits; Every seed, that is, the seed of children, life and destiny, itself contains fruit, and good seeds already contain dimethoate; The seeds of evil have borne bitter fruit. Therefore, all people, in their past lives, including their present lives, are constantly creating good or evil careers because of their various behaviors, such as their body, mouth and heart. Therefore, the growth of people now is bound to be bittersweet. This bitter fruit grows up and matures due to karma, so some people's lives are more bitter than happiness, and there are many twists and turns. Some people live more happily than bitterly. This fruit is already contained in the seed. This is like the seed of a grass. It will grow into a grass. Even if it meets an excellent karma, it can only grow into a tall grass, but it is impossible to grow into an apple tree and produce an apple. A rice seed, it is destined to grow and rice will bear rice seeds, even if it encounters extremely evil karma, it will not bear weed seeds. A person is still a person in this life because of the karma in his last life. Whether he is in a poor family or a rich family, he is still alone. Even if he is born with mental retardation due to karmic factors, he will still become a person, but his parents and family have different help, and they will still have different fates.
3. Constant obedience; A seed always changes and grows with the passage of time. When the karma is sufficient, the seeds will naturally bear corresponding fruits. Some seeds have been planted, but they have not blossomed as expected. Especially after educating children, we have made great efforts and still haven't seen their excellent performance. They think that children are hopeless, disappointed and anxious. In fact, we can only say that the reasons for their excellent performance are different. It must be clear that children's growth is not determined by the efforts of parents and teachers. The efforts of parents and teachers will certainly have a great impact, but it is not certain. What really determines children is their own karma. Otherwise, we can't understand that some left-behind children have been admitted to Tsinghua Peking University, some parents run casinos but their children can learn well, and some parents who are illiterate can grow into social elites. The hard work of parents and teachers is only the help of children's growth, not the root.
4, sexual decision (good, evil, no memory); There are three natures that determine the fate of a seed, and what kind of life course and fate a child will have, which are also good, evil and memoryless. Good is a good cause, and good fruit is a good fruit; Evil is the cause of evil, and the consequences are bitter; No memory means no good and evil, no good and evil, and naturally there will be no good and evil results; Strictly speaking, fruit has no good consequences, only the bitter fruit of dimethoate and the bitter fruit of no joy. Just like our life, there is no good or evil, but our life has obvious joys, sorrows and pains. What a child's life is like depends on the career he created in his previous life. Children become our children because of their different occupations, or they are born in rich families, poor families, intellectual families, or official or businessman families. They are dignified and healthy, or sick. This is not our decision, but because of our own karma, we are called.
In other words, it was the karma of the child's last life that chose us as his parents in this life; Because of our own karma, we inspired them when they were children. This is fate, which is determined by karma.
5. Waiting for the public; All seeds must be "born" to grow and develop under various conditions; Although there is a career, bad karma's external conditions are not available, and the same seeds cannot grow and develop. Therefore, the social environment of parents, families, teachers, schools and friends are all the reasons for children's growth. For various reasons, children's seeds will grow and develop.
6, can only be born. What is the reason and what will be the result.
All seeds have these six basic contents.
All children's education must take these six basic premises into account. Otherwise, education will be difficult and children's growth will be very painful.
As parents, teachers and friends of children, we must create conditions and environment for children as much as possible under the basic premise of respecting children. Even if children have various growth obstacles due to their own karmic problems, we will let them suffer less and return more because of their kind help. Of course, children can meet our dedicated parents and teachers, which in itself shows that children's karma is good. .
