The relationship between reliability, difficulty and validity
The so-called teaching test index is an important index to measure the test quality. As a researcher, we need to understand and distinguish the meaning and difference of indicators in order to truly grasp the examination degree of the examination itself. Reliability, validity, difficulty and discrimination in teaching test are important knowledge points in pedagogy learning and common knowledge points in exams. There must be some confusion and incomprehension in the process of self-study or preparing for the exam. Based on many years' teaching experience, the lecturer of cloud education at CUUST will focus on explaining and distinguishing the relationship among reliability, validity, difficulty and discrimination.

The so-called reliability emphasizes the consistency and stability of multiple measurement results; For testing, it is to test the subjects for many times, and whether the results of each test are the same. If the same situation exists, it can be interpreted as high reliability; On the contrary, the reliability is low. The indicator of reliability is that the tester needs to grasp the difficulty of each test itself. If the difficulty of the two tests is different, it will inevitably affect the reliability. Therefore, the key to grasp the reliability lies in whether the test results are the same or the same.

The so-called validity emphasizes that the test can measure the test degree of the examinee; On the other hand, it can also be understood as whether candidates can pass the test paper to test their own content. If the examinee's own elements can be tested by the test, it means that the validity is high, and vice versa. The validity index in the test is the first test index that testers need to consider. If a test is not valid, it is difficult to guarantee its reliability. Therefore, it is necessary to fully consider the evaluation elements and comprehensively measure the evaluation content in order to truly get the test results.

The so-called difficulty emphasizes the difficulty of the exam; The degree of difficulty can be expressed by the degree of difficulty coefficient, which is the ratio of the number of people passing the exam to the total number of people taking the exam. If more people pass a test, the greater the difficulty coefficient, and vice versa. Therefore, the greater the difficulty coefficient, the smaller the difficulty of the exam itself, the smaller the difficulty coefficient, and the greater the difficulty of the exam itself, which can be understood as the opposite relationship.

The so-called discrimination degree emphasizes the degree of discrimination to the tested person; A simple description of knowability is the consciousness of distinguishing the good from the bad. Passing the selection test requires a high degree of discrimination. The degree of discrimination itself should fully consider the difficulty of the test paper, the greater the difficulty, the smaller the degree of discrimination; The difficulty is moderate, and the time zone is the highest.

In short, the relationship between reliability and validity, difficulty and discrimination requires candidates to distinguish effectively in preparation for the exam, so as to truly grasp the essence and improve the accuracy of doing the questions.
