Sichuan University is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is a century-old prestigious university with a long history, profound academic accumulation and strong humanistic atmosphere, and is one of the key universities under the national "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project".
Based on the profound historical and cultural background and the long tradition of art education, Huize established the school-running philosophy of "giving full play to comprehensive advantages, advocating humanistic spirit, advocating artistic innovation and cultivating first-class talents", and adhered to the school-running philosophy of paying equal attention to the cultivation of artistic talents, artistic creation and artistic research, and became an important town in western art education, artistic research and creation.
2. Discipline characteristics
On 20 17, in the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education, the college art was rated as B+, and the art theory and design was rated as B+. The college has 1 national first-class majors, 1 provincial majors and 2 school-level majors, 1 national top-quality courses, 1 national experimental teaching centers and 2 school-level key general courses. In 2009, it was approved as the experimental area of innovative artistic talents training mode of the Ministry of Education.
The College of Art has a complete set of specialties and rich levels of running schools, and has built an integrated talent training system for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students.
3. Cooperation and communication
The college has established multi-level cooperation and exchanges with art colleges and related institutions at home and abroad, forming a normal mechanism of academic exchanges, personnel training and cooperative research. Every year, a group of well-known experts and artists at home and abroad are invited to give lectures, set up workshops and carry out exhibitions and exchanges in our hospital.
At present, the college has established academic exchanges and cooperative research relations with many famous universities in the United States, Britain, South Korea, Russia, Japan and other countries. The College consists of four scientific research institutions, namely Academy of Fine Arts, Academy of Environmental Art, school of visual arts and Sichuan University Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Center, which is the key research base of humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education.
