1. Guangxi Normal University, referred to as "Guangxi Normal University", is located in the world-famous scenic city of Guilin. It was jointly built by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and was selected into the National Training Plan of the Ministry of Education, the Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities, the Excellent Teacher Training Plan, the National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Plan, and the National Postgraduate Plan for Building a High-level University.

3. The school can be traced back to the provincial Guangxi University founded by 1928 and the Guangxi Provincial Teachers College founded by 1932. Provincial Teachers College merged 1936, Guilin Teachers College was rebuilt 194 1, 1943 was upgraded to national Guilin Teachers College. 1950 merged into Guangxi University again.

4. Guangxi Normal University can be traced to 1928. 1932, the provincial Guangxi University and Guangxi Provincial Teachers College, are one of the earliest normal universities in China. 1936 merged into Guangxi University, 194 1 reconstructed. 1942 was renamed as Guangxi Provincial Guilin Teachers College, and 1943 was upgraded to National Guilin Teachers College, directly under the Central Ministry of Education.

5. 1946 moved to Nanning, 1947 changed to National Nanning Teachers College, 1950 merged into Guangxi University again and moved back to Guilin. 1953, the former Guangxi University was closed, and Guangxi Normal University was established on the basis of some teachers and all students of teachers' professional courses in its cultural and educational colleges and science colleges. 1983 changed its name to Guangxi Normal University.
