The famous German psychologist H Ebbinghaus (1850- 1909) once described the development of psychology: "Psychology has a long past, but only a short history." ( 1885)
As a history of science, psychology has a short history. /kloc-After the mid-9th century, the rapid development of natural science created conditions for psychology to become an independent science, especially the development of sensory neurophysiology in Germany, which played a more direct role in promoting psychology to become an independent science. It was not until the appearance of 1874 Principles of Physiological Psychology that psychology was separated from philosophy and became an independent science, which began its vigorous development.
The development of scientific psychology
/kloc-the development of physiology and physics in the 0/9th century prepared the necessary conditions for the birth of scientific psychology. Weber, a German sensory physiologist (1795— 1878) first established the law of just perceptible difference of sensation. Later, Fechner (180 1- 1887) developed Weber's research and used psychophysical methods to determine the functional relationship between external physical stimuli and psychological phenomena. Their research methods have become a model of scientific psychology research. Psychology really separated from philosophy and became an independent science, which was mainly completed by German physiological psychologist Feng Te (1832- 1920). 1879, Feng Te established the world's first psychology laboratory in Leipzig University, Germany, to study psychological phenomena by experimental means, which is a recognized symbol of the independence of psychological science. Feng Te opposed discussing psychological phenomena with philosophical speculation, and insisted on revealing the laws of psychological processes with natural scientific methods such as observation, experiment and mathematical statistics, thus achieving fruitful research results and cultivating a group of students from all over the world. Feng Te wrote a lot in his life, among which Principles of Physiological Psychology is known as "Declaration of Psychological Independence", which is the first systematic psychological monograph in the history of psychology. Feng Te is the founder of scientific psychology and the first professional psychologist in the history of psychology.
The development of modern psychology
As Hao Bin, a famous psychologist in China, said, "Two hundred years ago, there was no scientific psychology as a way to explore the inner world, but the journey of exploring the spiritual world has already set sail! It is unknown in what form mankind will continue this journey after 200 years, but I firmly believe that as long as we exist for one day, this pace will never stop. " The development of scientific psychology has gone through more than one hundred years. In the process of development, on the one hand, people argued about the research object and theoretical system of psychology for decades, forming various theoretical schools, and finally reached a basic consensus in the 1950s, which made psychology prosperous. Cao, a researcher of psychology and hypnosis in China, put forward the theory of brain operation, which brought a good theoretical model for psychological display logic. On the other hand, with the deepening and expansion of psychological research, psychology itself has been constantly divided, and many branches of psychology have been derived, making psychology more and more important.
