When it comes to home-school cooperation, people invariably think of the one-way connection between parent-teacher conferences and home visits to these teachers. Actually, it's the same. In the long-term home-school contact, there is always only the system of teachers' home visits, but there is no habit of parents' home visits. Parents often "go to the three treasures" and "complain" at home. How to change this situation? We can implement "three mutual" and establish "three cards" to change one-way communication between home and school into two-way communication.
1. Implementing "three mutualities" means emphasizing mutual visits, demanding mutual encouragement and paying attention to mutual understanding.
From the perspective of mutual visits, schools should have fixed home visit days and parent-school visit reception days, and gradually establish a home-school visit system. Try to ask teachers to visit parents and advocate parents to visit teachers; There are both parent-teacher conferences held by schools and symposiums invited by parents; There is both oral communication and written communication. Encourage parents to participate in some school activities, such as festivals, team meetings, sports meetings and so on. Through mutual visits, teachers can not only further understand each student's personality characteristics and hobbies, but also master their roles and status in the "small world" of the family; Parents can not only know their children's performance in school, but also know their status in the student group and their impressions in the minds of teachers. In this way, teachers and parents' views on students gradually tend to be consistent, laying a good foundation for the formation of educational synergy.
From the perspective of mutual encouragement, schools listen to parents' opinions through various channels and ways, improve their work, and affirm parents' successful educational methods in time. Schools and parents support each other, encourage each other and promote each other, and jointly do a good job in the education of students.
From the perspective of mutual understanding, due to frequent communication and close contact between home and school, mutual understanding has been enhanced, and parents have also realized the hardships of teachers' work and actively cooperated with education. In this way, teachers and parents trust and understand each other, making the cooperation between school and family more tacit.
The establishment of "three cards" means: first, the establishment of a home visit record card with teachers as the main body, including the purpose of home visits, the main contents of the exchange of views between teachers and parents, and the educational measures jointly drawn up. The second is to establish a record card of students' off-campus performance, mainly for parents, including when students go home, study time at home, attitudes and habits, movies and books they watch, communication with classmates and friends, and what work they can do. The third is to establish a "home-school contact card" for teachers and parents to communicate with each other, mainly recording students' school situation and their performance at home at the same stage, so as to cooperate with each other and teach in time.
2. Change the combination of home and school into three-dimensional teaching.
The combination of home and school, it is important to unify home and school, that is, to strive to achieve the coordination of educational methods and contents and to teach together. Specifically, it should be:
(1) Home-school cooperation to carry out "psychological diagnosis of students' faults" research. Underachievers are prone to make all kinds of mistakes. How to correctly analyze their fault psychology, adopt effective methods to educate them, and coordinate with their parents. It can be divided into four steps: step one, students fill in the basic information of students and families, and parents and teachers jointly fill in the time, place and main facts of students' wrong behavior; The second step is to analyze the reasons and study the rectification measures together; The third step is to track and record the curative effect; The fourth step is to carry out revision evaluation.
(2) Establish a system of "students' ideological and moral evaluation" as an important way of home-school joint teaching. We should try our best to make the evaluation standard accurate, the evaluation method simple and the evaluation terminology popular, and establish an evaluation standard suitable for schools and families to jointly identify students' morality. Parents and teachers conduct comprehensive evaluation twice at the middle and end of each semester. In this way, school education and family education have a common scale, and the basic conditions for the "synergy" of education are created.
(3) Make full use of the advantages of students' families in practical education and combine home-school comprehensive teaching with "behavior training". Teachers can turn the contents of the student code and some norms into practical things, let students "practice" at home in stages and with emphasis, and let parents report the results of "practice" to teachers. For example, love labor, love food, respect for elders, diligence and simplicity. , can become the content of "behavior training".
3. Choose the form of home visit appropriately.
It is also important to do a good job of home visits for underachievers and choose the appropriate form of home visits. There are several kinds here, and the class teacher can choose flexibly according to the actual situation.
(1) home visit. The class teacher takes advantage of the opportunity of walking or visiting relatives and friends to stop by the door of the underachievers' home and have a polite conversation with their parents, which is conducive to enhancing the feelings between teachers and between teachers and students. The obvious advantages of this kind of home visit are that it looks natural, saves time and effort, and parents and students feel cordial and have no tension.
(2) Congratulatory home visits. When the underachievers made great progress or won awards, the class teacher seized the opportunity and went home to report the good news to his parents to congratulate them. Parents and students will feel encouraged and happy. In a good atmosphere, the class teacher will take the opportunity to go to the next level to encourage an underachiever, or point out the shortcomings appropriately and make reasonable suggestions, and the results will be very different.
(3) Assist in home visits. Send money and materials donated by teachers and students to underachievers with family difficulties, help them find one or two ways to get out of trouble, and selfless dedication to underachievers and their families; Send a comfort and a love to the underachievers who have been hit by the spirit. These will be transformed into great motivation, encouraging underachievers to overcome difficulties, cheer up and forge ahead.
(4) visit home. Some underachievers are infected with diseases, so the class teacher does not forget to visit them and recommend Paul, Zhang Haidi and other role models. This will inspire their courage to fight the disease, and at the same time, it will also affect parents to fully cooperate with the class teacher to do the transformation work in the future.
(5) Home visits based on questionnaires. In order to understand the situation of underachievers and parents' views on underachievers' education, the class teacher can design some questionnaires for parents to fill in.
(6) indirect home visits. When the psychological gap between the head teacher and the underachievers or parents widens to produce some misunderstanding, if the head teacher appears again, it may make things worse. In this case, it is best for the class teacher to avoid temporarily and conduct indirect home visits through a third party. For example, entrust class cadres and village (neighborhood) Committee cadres to go to students' families for persuasion on your behalf. When the contradiction eases, the class teacher will go to the front home.
4. "Four Taboos" for Underachievers' Home Visit
(1) No complaints style. Don't scold the children as soon as you come in. Not good either. We might as well chat with parents, induce them to become the protagonists of the conversation, and constantly praise the progress of underachievers in school, so as to raise the problems of children with parents in a harmonious atmosphere, find out the reasons together and explore educational measures.
(2) Avoid hurting parents' self-esteem. Don't praise the advantages of some gifted students in the class too much, lest parents feel ashamed of hearing too much and blame their children for disappointing; Don't comment on the shortcomings of some students casually, lest parents suspect that teachers who change schools will also criticize their children's mistakes.
(3) Three taboos are long-lasting, perfunctory parents entrust. When parents make suggestions, they should respond to their parents' urgent needs and worry about their concerns. Even if some requirements are beyond common sense, explain them politely. It is forbidden to make a promise when visiting home, and then forget it after visiting home, thus losing the trust of parents.
(4) avoid students. Let the underachievers participate in the conversation of the head teacher's parents, which can not only eliminate their aversion to the teacher's "complaining at home", but also eliminate their sense of inferiority and abandonment. When the students send them away, give them a few words of encouragement to promote their progress.
5. Open a home-school hotline
The school has set up a home-school hotline to answer questions raised by parents about school courses, special activities, student activities, homework and so on. Or put forward relevant requirements, suggestions and hopes to parents, and take the initiative to inform parents about the situation of schools, classes and students. The hotline can also provide services for students after school and answer their questions about learning.
6. Set up a parent committee
All schools can set up parent committees. Parent Committee is a way for parents to participate in home-school cooperation in a meaningful and constructive way. All parents are members of the parents' committee. In order to facilitate the communication and cooperation between the Committee and the school, parents can elect parents' representatives, and the parents' representative Committee will participate in the specific work of home-school cooperation.
