School history

Tarim University was founded in June 65438 +0958+10/October 65438. At that time, the school name was "Tarim River Agricultural University". 1960, with the support of Wang Zhen, then Minister of State Land Reclamation, the school was expanded and renamed "Tarim Agricultural University", with Wang Zhen as honorary president. 1977 college entrance examination resumed in autumn, directly under the Ministry of Agriculture of Tarim University. In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was renamed "Tarim University", which was jointly established by the Central Committee and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
