Brief introduction of Luoding Vocational and Technical College;
Luoding Vocational and Technical College was established in May, 20001year. Its predecessor was Luoding Normal School, which was founded in 1928. The National Vocational Skills Appraisal Institute, Guangdong Doctor Workstation, Yunfu Cloud Computing Big Data Talent Training Base, Yunfu Electronic Information Industry Technology Service Center, Yunfu Nanjiang Culture Research Center and Yunfu Automation Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center have been established. Luoding Vocational and Technical College Education Development Foundation was established, which is the youth innovation and entrepreneurship base of the Communist Youth League Central Committee, the advanced unit of language and writing work in Guangdong Province, the demonstration base of social science popularization in Guangdong Province, the training demonstration base of small and medium-sized enterprises in Guangdong Province, and the civilized unit in Yunfu City.
The school has eight teaching units, including Marxism College, Community Education College, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department, Information Engineering Department, Economic Management Department, Education Department, Foreign Languages Department and Art and Sports Department. There are 36 enrollment majors in eight major categories, including equipment manufacturing, electronics and information, education and sports, finance and trade, energy, electricity and materials, food, medicine and food, transportation and tourism. The college has two service majors supported by the central government, three productive training centers recognized by the Ministry of Education, two provincial-level key majors, four provincial-level public training centers, 12 training bases above the provincial level, four provincial-level open courses for sharing fine resources, five' 1+X' certificate construction projects, and three two-stage pilot education projects have been established with Lingnan Normal University and Guangdong Institute of Petrochemical Technology. The school and Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, South China Normal University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Guangdong University of Finance and Economics jointly set up self-taught (correspondence) communication classes, with a total of 15 majors. Students can take some courses at the same time during their study in school, and they can obtain the undergraduate diploma of the selected institution after completing the required credits. The school has more than 2000 full-time students/kloc-0 and more than 200 adult education students/kloc-0.
