Directed by director Xiaogang Feng, this film is based on Zhang Ling's novel Aftershock and combined with real events. The story tells the story of Li Yuanni and her two children, Deng Fang and Fonda, and how they rebuilt their families after the 1976 Tangshan earthquake.

Among them, Fontaine is the protagonist in the real event. After the earthquake, she was rescued by the People's Liberation Army and sent to the People's Liberation Army Hospital in Hangzhou for treatment. In the hospital, I met a doctor named Zhang, and they gradually fell in love and finally came together. However, at their wedding, Fontaine suddenly disappeared, which made everyone very worried. Later, she found her in her own graveyard. It turned out that she chose to leave because she was afraid of the shadow of the earthquake.

The film restores this event, showing people's struggle and tenacity in the face of life and family in the disaster, and also showing the complexity and diversity of human nature.

It should be noted that although the events and characters in the film have certain realistic basis, they are not completely true, but have been artistically processed and adapted.
