What are the requirements for adopting children from orphanages?
An adopter who has gone through the adoption registration shall meet the following conditions:

1. No children;

2. Have the ability to raise and educate the adoptee;

3. Not suffering from diseases that are medically considered unsuitable for adopting children;

4. At least 30 years old;

5. If a man without a spouse adopts a woman, the age difference between the adopter and the adoptee should be over 40 years old.

Only when the parties meet the above conditions can they apply for adoption. Domestic citizens to adopt children, adoption registration procedures and materials need to be provided, in accordance with the "China citizens to adopt children registration procedures".

The conditions for adoption in orphanages are as follows:

1, no children or only one child;

2. Have the ability to support, educate and protect the adoptee;

3. Not suffering from diseases that are medically considered unsuitable for adopting children;

4. All illegal and criminal records that are not conducive to the healthy growth of the adoptee;

5. At least 30 years old.

The adoption process of orphans is as follows:

1, get the approval form at the police station;

2. Fill in the form and stamp the opinions of the unit, and prepare relevant certificates, photocopies and certification materials;

3. Submit the approval form and supporting materials to the police station and receive the receipt;

4. If the certificate is complete and the procedures are complete, the police station will report the materials to the Public Security Bureau within 20 working days;

5, waiting for the branch, the Municipal Bureau of verification or investigation and review notice;

6. After receiving the notice of examination and approval, go through the formalities at the Population Management Office of the Municipal Bureau.

The adopter shall submit the following materials:

1, household registration book and ID card;

2, the adopter's unit or the villagers' committee issued by my marital status, whether there are children and have the ability to raise and educate the adoptee;

3. Physical health examination certificate issued by medical institutions at or above the county level. In addition, if the adoptive parents cannot be found, the adopter's birth certificate issued by the family planning department shall be submitted.

If a spouse adopts a child, both husband and wife must agree to adopt together. If a man without a spouse adopts a woman, the age difference between the adopter and the adoptee should be over 40 years old. The adopter can apply to the adoption registration authority for the adoption of a child after meeting the conditions for adopting a child in an orphanage and preparing relevant documents. After receiving the application for adoption registration and related materials, the adoption registration authority shall conduct an examination within 30 days from the next day. Those who meet the requirements of the adoption law shall register for adoption and issue an adoption certificate, and the adoption relationship shall be established from the date of registration; If it does not meet the requirements stipulated in the adoption law, it shall not be registered and the reasons shall be explained to the parties concerned. Besides the conditions that the adopter must meet, as an adopted child, there are also certain conditions. If children are older, adoption is often not allowed. Of course, to establish a legal adoption relationship, it is necessary to go through adoption procedures or notarization, otherwise it will only be a de facto adoption relationship.

Article 1098 An adopter shall meet the following conditions:
