Fran? ois Pierre Guillaume Guizot (Fran? Ois Pierre Guillaume Guizot (178710/4 October-1874 September 12) was a politician. Francois Pierre Guillaume Guizot (1787- 1874) is a famous French politician and historian. He was born into a Christian family in Nimes. His father, a famous lawyer, died on the guillotine during the French Revolution. Exiled in Switzerland with his mother, 1805 returned to Paris to study law and had contacts with anti-Napoleonic literary groups. 18 12 years, he was a history professor at the University of Paris.
