There are 167 kindergartens in Nanshan District, including 5 public kindergartens with about 36,000 children. The education participation rate of infants aged 0-3 in the whole region is 52%, and the admission rate of children aged 3-6 is over 95%. Five public parks are all provincial kindergartens, and 52 private parks are provincial and municipal kindergartens. The quality rate of kindergartens is as high as 40.4%, of which the quality rate of public parks is 100%. Public kindergartens have fully played a leading and exemplary role.

basic education

By the end of 20 10, there were 82 primary and secondary schools of all levels and types in Nanshan District (calculated by school site), including 68 public schools, 4 private schools10, with students 105400. In the whole region, three public ordinary high schools passed the evaluation of Guangdong National Model Ordinary High School, 1 high school was a provincial model school for curriculum reform, and six high schools achieved excellent results in the evaluation of teaching level of provincial ordinary high schools, with a passing rate of 100%. The enrollment rate of primary schools and junior high schools in the whole region reached 100%, the quality of compulsory education reached 100%, and the quality of private schools reached 4 1.7%.

vocational education

Bolun Vocational and Technical School is the only 1 vocational and technical school in our district. The school has two campuses with about 2000 students. As a provincial key vocational school, its gem appraisal and business specialty is a demonstration specialty of Guangdong secondary vocational school, and it has the only secondary jewelry vocational education simulation jewelry business training center in Guangdong province and even the whole country.

Community education

The academic structure of teachers has always been junior college and middle school undergraduate, and a number of outstanding teachers who are well-known throughout the country have emerged. There are 58 special-grade teachers, 208 academic leaders at or above the municipal level, 524 graduate students or above, and 872 teachers with deputy senior titles.

Information construction

In recent years, about 70% of the annual education funds in Nanshan District have been added to the improvement and supplement of school facilities, greatly improving the conditions for running schools. There are no weak schools in this area, and the facilities between schools are basically balanced. Since 2006, more than 500 million yuan has been invested in the construction of educational informatization, which is used for the construction and transformation of computer network classrooms, multimedia comprehensive classrooms and campus networks. By the end of 20 10, the vitality ratio of public schools in the compulsory education stage in the whole region reached 5.6: 1, and 130 computer rooms were built, with an average of 12 classes/computer rooms, all equipped with multimedia computers and networks according to standards, which basically met the teaching needs of information technology compulsory courses; 100% schools have opened campus websites, and 100% schools have realized network interconnection. The total amount of purchased finished educational resources is 1.2TB, and the self-built resources are1.8tb. All public schools have met the requirements of network construction from gigabit backbone to hundreds of megabytes and then to desktop, and achieved "school-to-school communication, class-to-class communication" and regional educational resources.
