"Respect and use it": The words "respect and use five religions" in Shangshu mean to give enlightenment respectfully. "Fan Shi": The phrase "speaking a new language in the world, giving priority to morality" means "speaking like a scholar and acting like a model", which means that words and deeds should be exemplary and exemplary. "Diligence": It means that diligence is the key to doing things and learning, and diligence will be rewarded. "Du Xing" in The Book of Rites means "erudite, suspicious, thoughtful, bright and sleepy". It is emphasized that we should not only learn, ask, think and distinguish, but also practice in a down-to-earth manner in order to truly reach the ideal realm of knowledge and life. Jingfu Academy is the source of our school and a symbol of our century-old school-running tradition. "Respecting teachers and attaching importance to morality" not only embodies the long history of our school and its significance as the birthplace of higher education in Anhui Province, but also embodies the characteristics and advantages of our school's teacher education, and advocates teachers and students to strengthen their cultivation, improve their quality and strive to become a model of society. "Diligence and Perseverance" continues the motto of our predecessor, National Anhui University, with a slight modification, and advocates that teachers and students inherit the fine tradition of studying in Lao An University, apply what they have learned, and strive to make greater contributions to the nation, country and society.
