Since the popularization of six-year compulsory education in Pu 'er Town from 65438 to 0997, under the correct leadership of the town party committee and government, Pu 'er Town has persisted in administering education according to law, conscientiously implemented the Compulsory Education Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Work Regulations on Eliminating Illiteracy of the State Council, exerted the strength of the whole town to carry out the "two basics" and passed the acceptance of "literacy" in 2003. With the cordial care and strong support of party committees and governments at all levels, the town party Committee and government led the broad masses of cadres and people and carried out a series of fruitful work. Due to the construction of middle school buildings, the acceptance of Pujiu was delayed for one year. However, through the joint efforts of the cadres and the masses in the town, primary and secondary schools have basically reached the acceptance index of the ninth five-year plan. It was publicized in the whole town from September 13 to September 19, 2007, and any report was received at the end of the publicity period. It is now officially announced that Pu 'er Town will basically popularize nine-year compulsory education and basically eliminate illiteracy among young and middle-aged people. I hope that the two committees of the village and the people of all ethnic groups in the town will continue to work hard to further consolidate and improve the achievements of the "two basics", promote the continuous development of education in our town, and make education make greater contributions to the economic development, social stability and new rural construction of Pu 'er.
