1June, 1999 Approved by the Ministry of Education, Beijing Technology and Business University was formed by the merger of Beijing Institute of Light Industry (founded in June, 1958) and Beijing Institute of Machinery Industry Management (founded in June, 1982). It is a key multidisciplinary university in Beijing. The school has three campuses in Beijing: Liangxiang 1 1, Fucheng Road No.33 and Xili Baiyun Road 13, with a total area of 22.3 hectares, a school building area of 265,000 square meters, teaching equipment worth more than 50 million yuan, total fixed assets of 430 million yuan and a beautiful campus environment. It is an advanced greening unit in China. The school has started to build a new campus in Liangxiang, Fangshan District, Beijing. Together with Beijing Institute of Technology, Capital Normal University, Capital Medical University, Beijing Foreign Studies University and other universities, I stayed in Liangxiang Higher Education Park for the first time. The new campus of the school is located in the higher education park, covering an area of 1.200 mu.
