Zhanjiang Institute of Science and Technology, located in Zhanjiang, a beautiful port city at the southernmost tip of Chinese mainland, is a full-time undergraduate college.

Founded by Guangdong Ocean University and Zhanjiang Cunjin Education Group on 1999, it was approved by the Ministry of Education as a geography college in 2006. Later, in 20021year, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to become an independent famous undergraduate college, ranking 6 1 among the second-class private colleges in China, and it was a second-class private college.
