Community health education is a planned, organized and evaluated health education activity with the community as the basic unit, the community population as the education object and the goal of promoting residents' health. The purpose of community health education is to tap the health care potential of individuals, families, communities and society, so as to improve health level and reduce disability.

Therefore, community health education is one of the important contents of community nursing. Through comprehensive health education for different people in the community, healthy people, high-risk groups and sick people in the community can establish health awareness, care about their own health problems, their families and communities, consciously change unhealthy behaviors, lifestyles and social influences of individuals and groups, make full and effective use of health care resources, and actively carry out health promotion and disease prevention, thus reducing the incidence, disability and mortality in the community and improving people's quality of life.
