Although there are many research directions for English majors, they are not chaotic, and the setting still follows certain rules. Roughly speaking, these research directions can be divided into two categories: traditional research directions and emerging research directions.

Traditional research direction-traditional research direction, as its name implies, refers to the established research direction for many years, which is generally offered in schools.
