Investigation report on reducing the burden on middle school students
Investigation on the current situation of middle school students' burden reduction I. Background of topic selection In recent years, people of insight have called for "the burden of primary and secondary school students is too heavy! Children should be given a colorful childhood. " The administrative department of education has also formulated relevant policies for the physical and mental health of primary and secondary school students, and put forward the slogan of "reducing the burden and improving the quality", that is, reducing the burden on students and improving the teaching quality. But in fact, have these policies really been implemented? What about realization? We want to do a survey, so we choose this topic for research. Second, the information introduction must first clarify what is burden reduction. Reducing the burden is to reduce the academic burden and economic burden of students and put an end to paid tutoring. The heavy schoolwork burden of primary and middle school students is mainly manifested in too many books, too many classes, too many homework, too many exams, too many tutoring, too many competitions, too long study time and serious lack of sleep. This makes students overwhelmed, increases the financial burden of parents, and is extremely harmful: 1, which seriously hinders the implementation of quality education. 2. Harm the physical and mental health of primary and secondary school students. 3. It increases the burden of the masses and damages the image of the government and education. Reducing students' excessive burden is the need to improve the overall quality of the nation and let the younger generation grow up healthily. Primary and secondary school students are the future of the country and the nation. The overall improvement of the quality of primary and secondary school students and their healthy physical and mental development are related to the improvement of the quality of the whole nation and to the future and destiny of the country and the nation. Excessive burden on primary and secondary school students violates the laws of children's physical and mental development and education, and is a reflection of a narrow educational concept. This kind of behavior that ignores the long-term fundamental interests of all students, the whole nation and the whole society, if not fundamentally changed, will inevitably affect the healthy growth of one generation or even generations, and affect the all-round improvement of the quality of hundreds of millions of workers and the whole Chinese nation. Therefore, the relevant government departments have introduced a series of measures to reduce the burden on students. Third, the purpose of the survey is to understand the implementation of reducing the burden, investigate students' views, and provide reasonable methods for students to improve their interest in learning. Fourth, the main inquiry method is oral: go around the school to do an oral survey. Written: distributed to some students through paper survey. Online: Publish the survey to the forum. V. Preparation stage of activity flow (1): Write a paper survey, arrange the content and scope of oral survey, divide the work of personnel, and make good preparations for online survey. (2) Implementation stage ① Oral publicity survey: go to each campus to investigate several students and make records. (2) Written questionnaire survey: Distribute questionnaires to all classes in an organized way. ③ Online survey: Post posts and always pay attention to the situation. (3) In the summary stage, collect all data and suggestions, discuss with team members and write a report. Phenomenon analysis (please refer to our questionnaire first) 1. In the process of listening, are you interested in the content of the class? The results show that more students choose to be interested (including very interested, general and relatively interested), which shows that the implementation of burden reduction is still good. If students are interested in taking classes, their learning efficiency will naturally improve. After the implementation of the burden reduction, it can be said that this has been achieved. Do you think it is difficult to finish your homework? Some students may choose different answers to this question because of their different levels. We can divide these students into several categories: (1) students who like learning (they can finish their homework easily, which is not difficult) (2) students in the middle reaches (they can master some knowledge, but it is difficult to finish some homework) (3) students who hate learning (they have no knowledge, so of course they are "difficult to write"). After the implementation of the burden reduction, the requirements for students are higher. And this lies in their own learning attitude and peacetime accumulation, so as to effectively complete homework and achieve the purpose of homework. This is also the embodiment of quality education. 3. Is there much homework? This survey reflects students' views on the amount of homework. Most students think that the amount of homework is moderate, some students choose more, and only a few students think that the amount of homework is less. It can be seen that reducing the burden has indeed achieved the purpose of reducing the workload. Students all think that the amount of homework is just right, which can achieve the effect of review and consolidation. Would you like to take part in the second class (including extra-curricular study and make up lessons)? Participating in the second classroom activities is a part of quality education, but if you force yourself to participate, it will be counterproductive. It can be seen from the survey that students have different views on the second classroom. Some people think it enriches extracurricular knowledge, while others think it increases the learning burden. As long as it is taken seriously, it is actually beneficial to participate in the second class properly. 5. How do you think the school has done in reducing the burden? After reading this result, people really feel the long-term and arduous nature of reducing the burden. Although the school has introduced many measures, it is still not recognized by students, and everyone thinks that the school has done a general job. 20% of the students still think that the school is doing badly. It seems that schools should add some concrete and effective measures to convince students. 6. What is your ideal learning environment? Describe it briefly. Students are dissatisfied with their homework, learning environment and teachers. In terms of homework, students all think that homework should be effective and small. Most of the students wrote down their desire for a good learning environment, saying that they should be happy in class, have good discipline, be enthusiastic, and be relaxed and inflexible in class. Some students think that teachers should be more humorous, have more teaching methods and entertain and educate. 7. Does reducing the burden really reduce the "burden"? If yes, please talk about the benefits of reducing the burden. If not, please make some suggestions and comments. We were surprised that everyone basically thought they didn't lose. In recent years, we have been trying to reduce the burden, but the students are not satisfied. Students' suggestions are still put forward around homework, saying that there is too much homework and there is no chance to breathe. Some students say they want more rest time, such as having classes later in the morning and so on. Seven. Summary of results Through our investigation, we found that the burden reduction has achieved certain results and has been affirmed by everyone. However, we also found that many students still think that the burden reduction is not complete, and the policies issued by the school are not very specific and effective, and they have put forward suggestions on homework, learning environment and teachers. It is well said to reduce the burden, but it is more important to implement it, really reduce the burden on students and make them relaxed and efficient, then the burden reduction will be successful. Eight, put forward the proposal to reduce the burden. In fact, there is a saying behind it. To improve quality, quality education can only be realized by reducing the burden and improving quality. In fact, this puts higher demands on us. We should not only be more careful in class, but also finish our homework seriously, otherwise, you will be left far behind. Quality education is actually a test of students' consciousness. Students should not think that they can relax after reducing the burden. This gives you time to study independently, which students should pay attention to. Nine. What is the burden on students? 1998, China Youth Research Center conducted a survey on the learning and development of primary and secondary school students in China. Among the students who go to school because they like learning, only 8.4% are primary school students, 10.7% are junior high school students and 4.3% are senior high school students. From 65438 to 0999, the National Working Committee for Juvenile Delinquency and China Youth Research Center completed a survey on the development of children in contemporary China, and answered the reasons why students are tired of learning. One of the contents of this survey is to understand the study time and academic burden of primary and secondary school students through three objective indicators: daily homework, school time and sleep. The survey shows that in terms of homework, 67.2% of urban children and 45.6% of rural children's homework time exceeds the national standard (30 minutes). Among the students who do homework for 365,438+0 ~ 60 minutes every day, 37.2% are in cities and 29.0% are in rural areas. Among the students whose homework time is 6 1 ~ 120 minutes, urban students account for 2 1.6%, and rural students account for11%. Among the students whose homework time is 120 ~ 180 minutes, 8.4% are from cities and 5.5% are from rural areas. The situation in the fourth to sixth grades of primary school is similar. In addition, 20.6% of urban junior high school students and 20. 1% of rural junior high school students do their homework for more than 2 hours every day (national regulations 1.5 hours). In terms of sleep, 46.9% of primary and secondary school students did not meet the national sleep standard (9 hours), and 8.2% of them slept less than 7 hours a day; 7 hours12.6%; 8 hours accounts for 26. 1%. School hours: 67.0% of urban pupils and 64.6% of rural pupils spend more time in school than the national standard (7 hours) every day. 60.5% of urban junior high school students and 6 1.6% of rural junior high school students spend more time in school than the national standard (9 hours). In addition to the academic burden, there is also an economic burden. Li Lianning, director of the Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education, said that students now need to buy many supplementary books, two or three for each subject, and a student needs to buy more than a dozen. A survey shows that books account for more than 50% of a primary school student's total expenses. Decompression is not relaxing without exams, but competition. The measures taken by the Ministry of Education to reduce the learning burden of primary and secondary school students have aroused strong repercussions in the society, and some educators and parents of students are full of doubts. In this regard, Professor Wang Jisheng from the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, who has been engaged in the education and psychological research of primary and secondary school students for a long time, believes that if the policies of the Ministry of Education are not deeply understood and correctly implemented, the long-awaited educational reform before she came to us will go to the other extreme. It is imperative to "loosen". Professor Wang conducted a three-year follow-up survey of more than 20,000 students in more than 30 schools across the country. The results show that 1/3 students have mental illness and personality defects, and the heavy study burden is the main reason for psychological obstacles. To improve the physical and mental health of primary and secondary school students, the first thing at present is to "untie" students. The educational reform measures of the Ministry of Education are undoubtedly of far-reaching significance for promoting the transformation from exam-oriented education to quality education, and then fully implementing quality education. How to understand "loosening" and how to accurately grasp the essence of educational reform? Professor Wang believes that reducing students' pressure does not mean relaxing education for students. In a sense, it puts forward higher requirements for education circles, parents and students to comprehensively promote quality education and adapt to the cultivation of innovative quality talents in the 2 1 century. For teachers, to reduce students' burden is to constantly explore the frontier of teaching reform, summarize useful teaching methods, pay attention to teaching quality and efficiency, and speak thoroughly within the specified time, so that students can really learn something and apply what they have learned; For parents, it is necessary to communicate with their children more, use modern family education concepts, methods and art, and do a good job in children's life education and innovative quality education. Paying attention to children's moral quality and personality cultivation, enhancing children's curiosity, thirst for knowledge, overcoming difficulties and adhering to the truth, for students, does not mean relaxing the study of cultural knowledge, but improving children's self-study ability and independent thinking ability, abandoning rote memorization and sea tactics, and paying attention to the cultivation of learning efficiency and interest. How to "relax" students' burden and arrange their free time, if there is deviation on this issue, it will lead to serious consequences. Children lack discrimination and self-control, and if they let themselves go, it will be extremely unfavorable to their moral quality and personality shaping. There is more time to play, but there are many articles to do about what to play and how to play. Professor Wang stressed that playing should not be regarded as a simple pastime, but should be taught the science of playing. This in itself is the implementation of quality education, which is of great benefit to improving children's physical and mental health and cultivating their practical ability. How to play scientifically? Professor Wang gave an example. According to different ages, he set up some teaching and creative games to improve children's creativity and practical ability. You still have to take the exam. At present, there is a wrong tendency, that is, some teachers and parents think that some subjects of primary school students will not be tested and there is no need for competition, which will dilute the cultivation of children's competitiveness and ability to take exams. Professor Wang pointed out that a prominent feature of the era of knowledge economy is competition. Without competitiveness, it will eventually be eliminated. Decompressing students does not mean ignoring their competitive ability and ability to take exams, nor does it mean abolishing the examination system, but paying more attention to the cultivation of their competitive ability and quality. Examination is an effective means to cultivate their competitiveness and ability to take exams. Of course, the existing examination system must be reformed. Professor Wang emphasized that in the process of understanding and implementing the national education reform plan, teachers and parents should keep a clear and scientific ideological understanding and work together to push quality education to a higher level. Any negligence, paranoia and paralysis will bring new puzzles and problems.
