Pengjiang District is a municipal district of Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the west wing of the Pearl River Delta, bordering Hong Kong, Macao and Guangfo in the north, Zhongshan and Zhuhai in the east and the South China Sea in the south.

The jurisdiction covers an area of 324.3 square kilometers, and has jurisdiction over Tangxia, Tanghe and duruan towns and three sub-district offices of Huanshi, Chaolian and Baisha. In 20021year, the permanent population of Pengjiang District was 865,700, and the total registered population was 533,300.

The ten scenic spots in Pengjiang are Treasure Square (Wuyi Overseas Chinese Square and Overseas Chinese Museum), Liangxi Ancient Style, Chen Yuan's former residence, Double Rainbow Reflecting the Sun (Chaolian Bridge and Tanghe Bridge), Lvye Xikeng (Daxikeng Forest Park), Long Beach Style Street, Hongsheng Park, Chishi Scenic Area, Chen Baisha Memorial Hall and East Lake Park.

Geology:

The exposed strata in Pengjiang District are modern grayish black and grayish yellow silty soil with alternating land and sea in Quaternary, which are distributed in low-lying and flat areas such as Tangxia Town, banks of Tianshahe River, North Street, Didong, Canghou and Shazaiwei Street. Lower Cretaceous, distributed in Tangxia and duruan Town.

The middle and lower subgroups of the Cambrian Bacun Group are distributed in Tanghe, duruan, Huanshi Town and Chaolian Street. The geotectonic position in this area is the Central Guangdong Depression of South China Fold System, with undeveloped structure.

Terrain:

Pengjiang District is located in the west of the Pearl River Delta and belongs to the alluvial plain. Inclined from northwest to southeast, the northwest is hilly and mountainous. The mountain area is less than 500 meters above sea level or the cutting depth is less than 200 meters, which is mostly distributed in Xijiang River Basin.

The highest peak in China is Chishi Mountain, which is located in Ruan Town, Park, with an altitude of 453.5 meters. There are many plains and river terraces in the southeast of China. There are three islands in Jiangmen section of Xijiang River: Lotus Pond, Chaolian and Australopithecus Island.
