1999, Lieutenant Colonel Harbin No.1 Middle School-Guolian Middle School was established. Harbin Guolian School is approved by the Municipal Education Commission and sponsored by Harbin No.1 Middle School. It is the first school in Harbin that caters to foreign children and is a branch of No.1 Middle School. The school recruits junior high school graduates and overseas Chinese foreign language students.
