Major Project of China-Europe Law School of China University of Political Science and Law
The dual master program aims to cultivate senior legal talents who are familiar with the laws of China and the European Union, can use Chinese and English as working languages, and have an international perspective. This project is a combination of master of law (or master of law) and master of European-international law, with a duration of six semesters (three consecutive academic years). In the first year, I studied China law course, in the second year, I studied European law course and got a degree, and in the third year, I wrote a law paper in China and got a degree. Students who have completed the credits and passed the thesis defense can get two degrees, namely, the Master of Laws/Master of Laws (diploma and degree certificate) of China University of Political Science and Law and the Master of Laws of Hamburg University, so it is called the Double Master Program.

China Law/Master of Laws Program

Based on the market-oriented reform process in China after 1978, this paper shows the basic framework and main components of People's Republic of China (PRC)'s legal system from the perspectives of evolution, transformation, present situation and prospect. The full-time professor of the course is from China-Europe Law School/other law schools of China University of Political Science and Law, and the part-time professor is an outstanding scholar from famous universities in China and the European Union. Students completed the credits and passed the thesis defense, and obtained the LLM/LLM degree from China University of Political Science and Law.

China University of Political Science and Law has rich experience and outstanding achievements in LLM and LLM education. 1983 Up to now, China University of Political Science and Law has trained nearly 10,000 graduate students in various fields. The first batch of Master of Laws and Doctor of Laws in New China are from China University of Political Science and Law. China University of Political Science and Law enrolls Master of Laws from China-Europe Law School. His major research interests include: civil and commercial law, economic law, criminal law, procedural law, constitutional and administrative law, and comparative law. Most of the courses in China Law/Master of Laws program adopt the research method of comparative law, and English teaching accounts for a considerable proportion.

Master of European-International Law Program

Under the background of European legal tradition, European integration and the trend of legal unification, we can introduce European Union law and international law from the historical, cultural and institutional levels, complete credits and submit qualified papers, and obtain a master's degree in law from the University of Hamburg, Germany. The project strictly abides by the requirements of the European credit transfer system, with excellent curriculum design and diversified and international teachers. Credits and degrees are widely recognized in Europe, China and the world.

The EU is China's largest trading partner. With the development of China-EU economy and trade, experts who are proficient in China and EU are needed in legal services, judicature, legislation and legal research. The dual master's program is just to meet this demand. Through the combination of the China Law/Master Program and the Euro-European Master Program, a group of legal persons can be trained to play an important role in the future exchanges between China and Europe. China-Europe Law School carries out other postgraduate programs, including doctoral programs, to promote higher-level legal exchanges and understanding and cultivate higher-quality legal talents. The college will carry out joint doctoral training in the following ways:

1. Hire a foreign law professor as a doctoral supervisor of China University of Political Science and Law;

2. Send doctoral students from China University of Political Science and Law to foreign law schools to receive guidance from foreign law professors;

3. Accept doctoral students from foreign law schools to visit or study in China University of Political Science and Law;

4. Recruit international students to study for doctor of law degree in China University of Political Science and Law. One of the missions of China Europe Law School is to improve the knowledge, skills and performance of legal professionals in China, and to promote exchanges between Chinese and European legal professionals. With the help of the European Union, the college will provide high-quality training on the knowledge and professional skills of European law, international law and comparative law for practicing lawyers, judges and prosecutors in China through the joint participation of participating universities and partners. At the same time, the college will also devote itself to promoting European legal professionals' understanding of China's law, economy and society.

The vocational training content of CEIBS Law School consists of four parts: the basis of European law, international law and comparative law includes European law, the principle of rule of law, criminal law, commercial law, international law and comparative law; Practical skills include legal methods, trial skills, court defense skills, organization and management of litigation activities and computer skills; The latest legal trends aim to introduce the latest development of law and practice in the field of trade and investment between China and Europe; Law, Society and Culture of China aims to help foreign legal professionals to improve their understanding of the legal and business environment in China. China-Europe Law School aims to promote, develop and carry out research activities within its competence, including China law, European law, international law, human rights, international trade and comparative law, paying special attention to areas related to China-Europe exchanges. Research activities, master's programs and vocational training are the three main tasks of China Europe Law School. In addition to research grants, CEIBS Law School also conducts research activities by organizing lectures, conferences and seminars within its scope of competence.
