The Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee put forward five development concepts of "innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing", which reflected the deepening of our party's understanding of the laws of economic and social development and greatly enriched the Marxist concept of development.
It provides a powerful ideological weapon for our party to lead the people of the whole country to win the great victory in the decisive battle stage of building a well-off society in an all-round way and to continuously explore and develop new realms. Its great significance, as pointed out by the plenary session, is a profound change related to the overall development of our country and will have a far-reaching impact.
Connotation of Five Development Concepts
1. Innovation and development are the key driving factors for the strategic adjustment of economic structure during the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan period, and the fundamental support and key driving force for all-round development under the overall layout of "Five in One";
2. Coordinated development is an important guarantee for building a well-off society in an all-round way and a powerful guarantee for improving the overall efficiency of development and promoting the all-round progress of the cause;
3. Green development is the historical choice to realize the civilized development road of production development, affluent life and good ecology, and the only way to realize the harmonious realm between man and nature;
4. Open development is a historical summary of China based on the successful experience of reform and opening up, and it is also an inevitable requirement for expanding the space for economic development and improving the level of open economic development;
5. Shared development is the essential requirement of socialism, the concentrated expression of the superiority of the socialist system, and the inevitable choice for our party to adhere to the fundamental purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly.
