Yanting Middle School in Sichuan Province was founded when revolutionary martyr Yuan Shirao was the director of education in Yanting County. 1926. At that time, it was named "Yanting County Junior Middle School". The school is located in Guxue Palace at the foot of Yunpan Mountain in the northwest of Yanting County, with a building area of 83 1 square meter and 8/kloc-0 students. It offers Chinese, English, history, geography and arithmetic.

1935 closed due to war.

1939 was approved by the provincial government to resume school.

1946 was renamed as "Yanting County Middle School in Sichuan Province" and began to recruit high school students.

1948, the school building area expanded to 2029 square meters, and the number of students increased to 428.

1950, according to the instructions of North Sichuan Administrative Office and Yanting People's Government, Yanting Middle School merged with Yanting Simple Normal School, County Girls' Middle School and junior middle schools such as Wentong, Hongji and Lijin, and was renamed Yanting County Middle School in Sichuan Province. The school moved to the foot of Daishan Mountain in the west of Yanting County.

1966 Due to the Cultural Revolution, the school was closed.

1968 classes resumed.

197 1 year resumed normal enrollment.

After 1976, the school resumed normal teaching order, developed steadily and continuously, and sent a large number of famous experts, professors, scholars, senior cadres and qualified builders to the country.

In recent years, the school continued to carry forward the spirit of hard struggle, took the opportunity of establishing a provincial-level model ordinary high school, updated the concept of running a school, paid close attention to infrastructure construction, and strived to improve the quality of running a school, and achieved a series of remarkable achievements, ranking in the forefront of Mianyang education.

In 2002, it was officially approved as a "model ordinary high school in Sichuan Province".

20 14, approved the merger with the original Wentong Middle School in Yanting County to form a new Yanting Middle School.

201April 19, Yanting Middle School moved to Wentong Campus for the first time.

On the afternoon of March 201May 6, the awarding ceremony of the experimental base of "research school" jointly established by Sichuan Academy of Educational Sciences and Yanting Middle School was held in the academic lecture hall of the North Campus of Yanting Middle School. Yanting Middle School became the fourth school in the province to be awarded the "research school" experimental base by the Provincial Department of Education.

At present, Yanting Middle School is marching towards the national model ordinary high school with high morale and a brand-new look.
