Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time higher vocational college registered by the Ministry of Education. It is an "excellent" school evaluated by the Ministry of Education in higher vocational colleges, a demonstration vocational college in Guangxi, the first batch of characteristic colleges in Guangxi, and the first batch of pilot units for the joint training reform of high-end applied undergraduate talents in Guangxi. The school's predecessor was Liuzhou Railway Transportation School, a national key secondary school directly under the Ministry of Railways, which was established in 1956. 1958- 1622, upgraded to Guangxi Railway Institute and Liuzhou Railway Institute (undergraduate). Since 1997, Guangxi Radio and TV University Liuzhou Railway Bureau Branch, Liuzhou Railway Bureau Teacher Training School, Liuzhou Railway Driver School and Liuzhou Engineering Vocational and Technical School have merged one after another. In August 2003, Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College of Transportation was established on the basis of Liuzhou Railway Transportation School. In June 2004, it was handed over from the former Liuzhou Railway Bureau to the Liuzhou Municipal People's Government. In March 2009, it was renamed Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College.
