In order to realize the integration and sharing of resources and reflect the characteristics of running a school, the school library has collected rich scientific research achievements and a large number of valuable documents from traditional disciplines with advantages, such as rolling machinery, forging equipment and technology, metal materials and heat treatment, machining technology and automatic control. Relying on the TPI platform, a "Heavy Machinery Digital Library" integrating periodical papers, e-books, conference papers, Chinese and foreign standards, industry experts and scientific and technological achievements has been built. The database has obvious characteristics of heavy machinery literature resources. The database has been put into use, with 32 Chinese journal papers162, 5,734 foreign journal papers, 637 e-books, 7,463 conference papers, more than 3,000 degree papers, Chinese and foreign standards 17 14, 63 industry experts and 9,370 scientific and technological achievements. With regard to the construction of database resources, our library has formulated the rules for the introduction of database resources based on the characteristics of disciplines, that is, "to ensure the traditional dominant disciplines (that is, machinery, materials, etc.). ), giving priority to key disciplines (that is, electronics, computers, etc.). ) and take into account new disciplines (i.e. information, grammar, foreign languages, etc.). ) ",and the proportion of funds for various types, carriers and subject resources is reasonably divided. After years of efforts, our library has formed a complete database system of heavy machinery characteristics. In 2002, entrusted by the Education Department of Hebei Province, our school library established the digital library of colleges and universities in Hebei Province, and collected the resources of colleges and universities in the province for co-construction and sharing by means of joint purchase. There are more than 800,000 e-books and large-scale periodical literature databases, including Chongqing Weipu, springer and WSN. , as well as rich online characteristic resources, there are more than 40 member libraries of digital libraries in colleges and universities in Hebei Province.
