Hao Wen's personal chronology
Gottfried Helnwein, Appearance Festival (the worship of the Magi), mixed oil painting, 1996, enlarged work 1982, was awarded the position of professor of literature and art by Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, but he declined. 1985, Rudolf Gauzner, the highest chair professor at the Vienna Visual University, suggested that Hao Wen should succeed him, but Hao Wen left Vienna and went to Germany. German and Austrian national television stations jointly filmed the life story of Hao Wen, and won the German Best TV Documentary Award (Adolf Grimm Award), the Education-Rhein Award and the Golding Kader Award. In addition to realistic art, Hao Wen began to develop abstract and expressive artistic styles. 1988, in order to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the World War II massacre, Hao Wen erected a 100 meter artwork between the Ludwig Museum and the Catholic Church in Cologne. Since then, large-scale public works have become one of his important creations. In 2002, Hao Wen set up a studio in Los Angeles, California. Hao Wen and controversial American musician Marilyn Manson collaborated on the multimedia work The Grotesque Golden Age. Manson later married the world-famous dancer Dita von Tis, and held the wedding at the Irish Castle in Horn. During this period, Hao Wen Hao Wen also cooperated with actor sean penn to make videos and movies. In 2004, the one-man show "Children" was staged at the Palace of Honor in California and the San Francisco Art Museum.
