The emergence of education first.
In ancient class society, because the mode of production was quite backward, education was mainly controlled by the privileged class, which served to maintain its rule and became a kind of enjoyment for the privileged class, while the broad masses of workers and their children were excluded from school education. Most of what is taught in the school is classical literature, morality and ethics, religious etiquette and so on. Its purpose is to cultivate ruling talents incompatible with the working class, and it does not undertake the mission of directly promoting social and economic development, but it can be called the production base of old ideology. This kind of education often hinders rather than promotes the development of social production.

With the establishment of the capitalist system and the outbreak of the industrial revolution, social productive forces have achieved considerable liberation and rapid development in the new social form. Especially after the machine is used in production, ordinary workers are required to receive a certain degree of school education to operate the machine, and this education level is gradually improved with the development of production. So education began to link with social production, cultivate qualified workers and promote the development of social production. But at this time, education teaches more about the accumulated experience and knowledge in production, and the simple machine operation method obviously lags behind the economic development.

When the wheel of history rumbles to modern times, productivity develops rapidly, science and technology change with each passing day, human cultural knowledge is unprecedentedly rich, and people's quality requirements are getting higher and higher. What is more noteworthy is that the development mode of science and technology has changed from the traditional "production → technology → science" to "science → technology → production" [4]. That is, the progress of science has risen from the experience summary of production technology to the laboratory research of a large number of scientists, and has become the forerunner of social productive forces. The further development of science and technology and its wide application in production can only be realized through education and training a large number of high-quality scientific researchers and production technical teams. Therefore, according to the mode of "science → technology → production", education should be ahead of production and become the intermediary between science and technology and production and the driving force of scientific and technological progress. That is, education first.
