How to treat the quality of college students today?
Today's college students should have high moral and cultural quality, strong professional quality, healthy psychology and strong physique.

1, moral and cultural quality. Mainly refers to the political direction of college students, including political outlook, outlook on life, values and so on; Moral quality, including sincerity, diligence and sense of responsibility; Humanities and social science knowledge, including historical knowledge, social knowledge, literary background, interpersonal skills and so on.

2. Professional quality. It mainly refers to college students' disciplines, professional knowledge, basic theories, basic skills, self-study ability and innovation ability.

3. Psychological quality. It mainly refers to the healthy psychological state that college students should have, such as the ability to withstand setbacks and failures, a positive and optimistic attitude, and a sound personality.

4. Physical quality. It mainly means that college students should have healthy bodies, good living habits and so on.

To improve the quality of college students in an all-round way, we must first see the problems and shortcomings of some college students in quality. In my opinion, the main problems existing in the quality of college students are:

1. Some college students don't have a deep understanding of current national policies. In the process of choosing a job, graduate students are not well prepared for employment, can't understand the current situation well, and their evaluation of self-positioning and self-ability is not accurate enough, and their ambitions are too great, and they change three times a day. There are also some students who don't think seriously and blindly follow the crowd when choosing a job.

2. Moral values of college students. Under the influence of market economy which advocates personality development, the moral values of contemporary college students are quite different from those advocated before. For example, when dealing with the contradiction between individual interests and collective interests, some college students think that it should be "giving priority to collective interests and giving consideration to individual interests" instead of "unconditional obedience of individual interests to collective interests"; In dealing with the relationship between dedication and taking, a considerable number of college students think that the concept of "only giving, not taking" is out of date, and should "pay more and take more, pay less and take less, and take less and take less" according to the actual situation.

3. College students' life values. Most college students think that we should take the attitude of "giving priority to work and giving consideration to life enjoyment", while a few think that "people live for pleasure", and they don't appreciate some highly professional cultures and arts, such as drama and opera, and think it is unrealistic. The idolatry craze in the 1980s and 1990s gradually cooled down, and the sense of individuality gradually increased. Influenced by the so-called "material interests" concept and "personal utility" factors in society, the life value scale of some college students gradually deviates from "utility".

College students should establish the concept of balanced development and improve their comprehensive quality. Professional quality and humanistic quality must be taken into account, and they complement each other. We should pay attention to the infiltration of arts and sciences in the curriculum. Humanistic quality education is not only to impart knowledge such as literature, history and philosophy, but also to cultivate a sense of history, which not only helps us to be more creative in professional fields, but also enables us to be more thoughtful and become more perfect and successful people. While paying attention to the cultivation of humanistic quality, we should also strengthen the study of natural science, so as to achieve a balance between arts and sciences and complement each other. We should cultivate students' sound personality and good psychological quality from childhood, so that they can face setbacks and failures, have strong willpower and perseverance, have a positive and optimistic attitude towards things, be able to constantly find their own psychological problems and constantly improve their self-education ability, because in this respect, the subject of self will play a decisive role.

The pace of social development is accelerating. In order to keep up with the pace of social development, college students must adapt to the needs of social development and improve their quality in an all-round way. Only with high quality will they not be eliminated by this highly competitive society. The times call for a new generation of college students, and the motherland needs high-quality talents. Under the new situation of the new century, only by cultivating more and better college students with high comprehensive quality can our motherland have a better tomorrow.
