Introduction to Dai

1, Dai (1965438+May 200610-February 9, 2006), formerly known as Wu Ailan, is a native of Trinidad, West Indies, and his ancestral home is duruan Town, Jiangmen, Guangdong. One of the pioneers and founders of contemporary dance art in China, party member, a famous dance artist in China.

2. Dai 1930 went to London, England to study dance, studied under the famous dancer Anton Dowling, and later studied under the modern dance master Mary Weigmann. 1939 returned to China. Her main dance orders are homesick song, buy, gleaning and so on. After liberation, Dai became the head of the first national dance troupe, the president of the National Dance Association, the president of Beijing Dance School and the head of the Central Ballet.

Her dance works include Flying, Umbrella Dance and Yang Guifei. Among them, Flying is China's first dance treasure to show Dunhuang art in Tang Dynasty. Dai also wrote a dialogue with dancer Jiang Qing, "Say Love Lotus". On February 9, 2006, Dai died in Beijing at the age of 90.
