The National Social Science Fund, referred to as the National Social Science Fund for short, 1986 was established with the approval of the State Council and managed by the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences. 1986,101On October 27th, the State Planning Group of Philosophy and Social Sciences passed the Provisional Regulations on the National Social Science Fund. The National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences is the office of the National Leading Group for Philosophy and Social Sciences.
All provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps have set up leading groups and planning offices for philosophy and social sciences. The National Social Science Fund, like the National Natural Science Fund established by 1986, is the main channel to support basic research in scientific research field in China. Facing the whole country, we will focus on funding researchers in universities and research institutions with good scientific research conditions and strong scientific research strength.
The National Social Science Fund includes Marxism, Scientific Socialism, Party History, Party Building, Philosophy, Theoretical Economics, Applied Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Law, International Studies, China History, World History, Archaeology, Ethnology, Religious Studies, China Literature, Foreign Literature, Linguistics, Journalism and Communication, Library Science, Information and Documentation, Demography, Statistics and Physical Education. Art and military science, three independent disciplines, have formed six kinds of project funding systems, including major projects, annual projects, specially commissioned projects, post-funded projects, western projects and China academic translation projects.
