Guangxi Art Institute, referred to as "Guangyi", is located in China Greentown-Nanning, the capital of Guangxi. It was jointly established by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the only comprehensive art college in South China and a first-class discipline construction college in Guangxi. He has been selected into the national central and western universities' basic capacity building project, new engineering research and practice project, excellent universities in undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of Education, national professional construction universities, universities with advantages in Guangxi characteristics, and doctors in Guangxi. It is a university approved by the Ministry of Education with the qualification of recommending excellent fresh graduates to study for master's degree without examination.

The school's predecessor was the "Training Course for Art Teachers of National Basic Schools in Guangxi Provincial Capital" initiated in Guilin on194/kloc-0 by Mr. Man, a famous musician in China, Mr. Xu Beihong, an outstanding modern painter and art educator, and Mr. Wu Bochao, a famous composer and music educator. In August, the private Guilin Academy of Fine Arts was established, 1946 65438+. The "Training Course for Art Teachers in Guangxi Provincial Basic School for Nationalities" and the "Private Guilin Rongmen Art College" were merged into "Guangxi Provincial Art College". 1953 when the departments of colleges and universities in China were adjusted, the school was cancelled. 1958 Guangxi Art College was rebuilt in Nanning, 1960 was renamed Guangxi Art College in February.
