Nanchang No.3 Middle School, referred to as "Nanchang No.3 Middle School" for short, is a public full-time complete middle school in charge of Nanchang Education Bureau and an excellent key middle school in provinces and cities.
Nanchang No.3 Middle School was founded in 1902 (the 28th year of Guangxu). Its predecessor was Lilian Hongdu Middle School in nine counties of Nanchang (Nanchang, Xinjian, Fengxin, Jinxian, Jing 'an, Wuning, Tonggu, Xiushui and Fengcheng), and it was renamed from Hongdu College in Nanchang. The school developed vigorously from 1958 to 1965, and was named Nanchang Hongqi School for eight times.
