Mr. Zhang Jichun, a member of China Calligraphers Association, is currently the president of Beijing Juxian Painting and Calligraphy Institute, the calligraphy instructor of Renmin University and the national ceremony calligrapher. In his early years, he studied in the calligraphy workshop of Capital Normal University and studied under Mr. Ouyang Zhongshi. Graduated from the International Calligraphy and Painting Research Center of the Ministry of Culture and the High Calligraphy Research Class of Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts. He has been engaged in calligraphy teaching and research for many years, and has compiled the Teaching Guide of Cao Quanbei and Ritual Monument in Han Li and the Teaching Guide of Lanting Preface in Xi Zhi, Wang Kui. His works have won the first prize in calligraphy exhibitions at home and abroad for many times, and he has served as a calligraphy tutor in Confucius Institutes in Europe, America and Asia. Some of his works have been collected by Chinese and foreign institutions such as the National Museum and Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. A long scroll of calligraphy with thousands of words was sold at a high price of 605 thousand yuan.
