Which dynasty did Mo Zhai come from?
Mo Zhai was a native of the Eastern Weekend and the Early Warring States and the Song Dynasty.

Mo Zhai Jimo was the founder of Mohism and a famous thinker, educator, scientist and strategist during the Warring States Period. Mozi is the only philosopher born as a farmer in the history of China. Mozi founded Mohism, which had a great influence in the pre-Qin period, and was called "one of the best" with Confucianism.

Mo Zhai put forward the viewpoints of universal love, mutual non-aggression, Shang Xian, Shang Tong, ambition, ghost, destiny, unhappiness and frugality. Take universal love as the core, frugality and sage as the fulcrum. Mozi founded a set of scientific theories with outstanding achievements in geometry, physics and optics during the Warring States Period. At that time, a hundred schools of thought contended and were called "non-Confucian Jimo".

Extended data

Mozi praised Yao and Shun Dayu from Confucianism and studied Confucian classics such as poems, books and the Spring and Autumn Period. However, Mozi criticized the incorrect attitude of Confucianism towards Heaven Emperor, ghosts and gods, and fate, as well as reburial, extravagant rituals and music, and thought that what Confucianism said was all flashy nonsense, so it "violated Xia Zheng's road".

From Mozi's attack on Confucianism, we can see that there seems to be no difference between the two on the issue of love. Moreover, the terms or concepts used by Mozi in constructing the universal love system are basically the words used by Confucianism, such as filial piety, kindness, benevolence, righteousness, etc., which shows that Mozi basically agrees with Confucian values, but only constructs his own theoretical system in a specific direction, with different interpretations.
