Wuhu Institute of Education, founded in 1978, is an independent institution of higher learning in Anhui Province. It is a national key education college and an advanced unit of spiritual civilization in Wuhu; At present, the college is being approved by the provincial government as Wuhu Information Technology Vocational College. Over the years, Wuhu Institute of Education has trained nearly 20,000 specialists for the whole province and Xinjiang, Ningxia, Hainan, Guizhou and other places, and delivered a large number of talents for Jiangsu, Shanghai, Guangdong, Hangzhou and coastal areas, which has been affirmed and praised by all walks of life and relevant leaders. In 2005, it was renamed Wuhu Information Vocational and Technical College with the approval of Anhui Provincial People's Government. It is a public institution of higher learning.

There is no Wuhu Cadre Education College. Only units above the deputy provincial level can set up XX Management Cadre College.
