Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, founded in June 1952, is one of the earliest aviation institutions of higher learning in New China. 1978 was identified as a national key university by the State Council; 198 1 was approved by the State Council to become the first batch of universities in China with the right to confer doctoral degrees; 1996 entered the national "2 1 1 project" construction; In 2000, the Graduate School was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education; 20 1 1 became the key construction university of "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform".
20 17 entered the national "double first-class" construction sequence, and the existing three disciplines of aerospace science and technology, mechanics, control science and engineering were selected into the second round of "first-class" construction list. The school is now under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In 20 12, 12 and 202 14, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Civil Aviation Administration of China successively signed agreements to jointly build Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
