Sixth grade of marine education
How to prepare lessons across schools? How to cooperate across disciplines? Don't you quarrel when you study across ages? Keelung Artists Union, break through your imagination of the school system! It not only combines nature and art across disciplines, but also connects the resources of museums, foundations and non-profit organizations, taking students to experience coral restoration on the spot and becoming a part of marine protection.

"When can you see a ship with a small roll out to sea? 」

"At about eight or nine o'clock, I will see small lights swaying with the waves on the sea. 」

Chen Pincheng, a fifth-grade student of Zheng Binguo, shared that in his home near the north coast of Keelung, the symbiosis between man and the ocean is a daily thing. "We have been doing marine education for 15 years. Lin Hongwei, an art teacher at Keelung Girls' Middle School, said that the school-based curriculum of most schools in Keelung is based on the ocean.

Every year, there will be a central topic discussion throughout Keelung, and the themes of several alliance schools are interrelated. Last year, Lin Hongwei called on teachers with long-term cooperation to form Keelung Artists Alliance, so that Keelung's resource sharing and team can become a solid backing for teachers' curriculum planning.

Wu is an art teacher in a primary school. She doesn't "convince" the teachers, but directly takes them to do it. When she met a teacher who couldn't let go of her students, she took the students in his class out to do activities. "If teachers directly see the changes of students, they will be motivated! 」

"In fact, we have been working hard for a long time, and we have cooperated since a few years ago, with experience and tacit understanding. Lin Hongwei has been promoting Quanta's "Wandering in Art" project in Keelung Girls' School for seven years (Quanta Cultural and Educational Foundation plans an educational exhibition suitable for primary and secondary school students to learn art).

Therefore, it is no accident that the Keelung League of artists and literati became an army. Through cross-school platform series and resource sharing, Lin Hongwei wants teachers in various schools to see more teaching possibilities. "A person's strength is limited. If we discuss together, we can break the blind spot. 」

The convening unit of high school art is the subject center, and the resources are relatively diverse and open. "The information in junior high schools and primary schools is relatively closed. If there is external information exchange, it will be very helpful for teachers to improve their teaching. Wu is an art teacher in a primary school. She thinks that the collision of different views can produce new ideas.

Teachers with long teaching experience will need "study partners" to re-examine their teaching contents. In Keelung, a small town, Wu is grateful to find a like-minded partner. Keelung schools are generally small in scale, with few teachers with artistic expertise, and some schools don't even have them. 」

Ke Yijun, a natural science teacher in Qiannei junior high school, nodded in agreement. At the same time, he smiled and said, "I'm just a science teacher. After following them, I began to know a lot of art and literature exhibits and felt that I had grown a lot. It turned out that a small step at that time unconsciously brought a natural teacher who only sought truth and let the data speak, and became both true, kind and beautiful.

Is it easy to teach across schools? Lin Hongwei said frankly, "It is actually quite difficult to overcome the schedule time and geographical location. However, these "superman teachers" are not afraid of hard work. In addition to allowing students to learn interdisciplinary, we also take them out of their homes and truly feel the ingenious art of nature.

"The shock of the scene is definitely greater than sitting in the classroom. Lin Hongwei is convinced that "hands-on" is worth a thousand words. " Let's go to Coral Mother Chen to tell the children about the concept of environmental protection and let the students grow corals. This is not just learning knowledge from books, but really doing something for the environment. 」

"Later I went to see the coral we planted. Last time my father drove through the coastal expressway, I went to see if it had grown up. Chen Pincheng shared it with the teachers, just like visiting an old friend whom I haven't seen for a long time.

Students' attention and treasure to outdoor visits is the reason that drives this group of teachers to go to mountains and seas. "When their feedback is greater than expected, they will have the motivation to continue. Lin Hongwei mentioned that the current teaching environment is very different from before. Only by changing teaching methods can students learn to use it flexibly and take their knowledge with them.

Different from simple activities, Ke Yijun believes that outdoor visits are to verify the learning in the classroom. "Instead of taking students out, we should combine life with courses, learn from life and let students feel it. 」

Sue Bamford from Britain is one of the resident environmental artists in the 20 15 "Tidal Art" project of the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology. "After Sue knew that I was a teacher, she hoped to visit my school. After four years, Wu recalled the process of communication, and it is still difficult to hide his joy.

The "Woven Coral" currently on display in Shilin Science and Education Museum is an artistic work that Su Lili taught her children to make. By making the image of coral by hand, it conveys the warning of coral bleaching, and also hopes to arouse the public's attention to marine protection.

"Garden Hugh and come! Wu Yuling said. Children take the initiative to write invitations to invite artists back to school to participate in activities, and the distance between students and artists is narrowed because of their concern for the ocean.

"I feel very fulfilled to be able to introduce works of art to children in lower grades! Li Youxia, a sixth-grade graduate of Zheng Bin School for Nationalities, is one of the "Little Art Fighters". Guidance and explanation are the main tasks of young art fighters. Wu explained that it is not easy to be an artistic soldier. " They need to know the background knowledge of painting and the context behind artworks. 」

In the aesthetic base of Keelung Girls' Middle School, Chen Pincheng introduced the self-portrait of the art work "The Old Man and the Sea" jointly created by five schools, and the late Taiwan Province famous painter Liu Qiwei. Kan Kan not only told the story behind him, but also expressed his thoughts when the typhoon was firm. "Reading Liu Qibao's story, let me find that there are so many twists and turns in a person's life. Through change, I can become a more contributing person. 」

Referring to the artistic theme of the 108 school year, Li, a fourth-grade student in a national school, took out a book, Light and Shadow Baroque. Before the exhibition began, the young art soldiers had already started reading by themselves, ready to show their talents in the new exhibition. "That's what they want to know and look for information, not I let them back. Wu said with relief and pride.

"After the training, the top artists from all schools will train together again, so students from high school, junior high school and primary school know each other. Lin Hongwei believes that learning together across ages has many advantages, one of which is that senior students become role models for other children.

The establishment of Keelung Artists Union has infected the educational enthusiasm of individual teachers to other front-line educators. "We hope that through this team, teachers can see that they have the opportunity to break through the difficulties in the teaching field. Lin Hongwei believes that if teachers can remain eager to try in teaching, students will definitely feel it.

"Art does not make mistakes, and change has new opportunities. Teachers of Keelung Artists Union want to make art interesting, not only to see art from life, but also to roll up their sleeves and do it, so that children can do their part for environmental protection.
