QS World University Ranking QS World University Ranking is an annual world university ranking published by Quacquarelli Symonds, a British international education market consulting company.

QS Company initially cooperated with Times Higher Education (THE) to jointly launch the -QS World University Ranking, which was first released in 2004 and is a relatively early global university ranking. Since 20 10, QS and QQ have terminated their cooperation and started to publish their respective world university rankings. QS Global Education Group generally updates its ranking every summer.

QS World University Ranking 20 10 is recognized by IREG International Academic Ranking and Excellence Association established by the International University Ranking Expert Group, and it is one of the most influential rankings with the largest number of participating institutions in the world.

Together with Times Higher Education World University Ranking, American News World University Ranking and academic ranking of world universities of Soft Science, it is recognized as the four more authoritative world university rankings. QS World University Ranking is based on academic reputation, employer reputation, teacher-student ratio, research citation rate and degree of internationalization.

Because of the openness and transparency of its questionnaire survey form, it was rated as one of the most striking university rankings in the world, but it was also criticized for having too many subjective indicators and commercialization indicators.
