Basic Introduction of College of Adult Education of Jilin University
The Department of Adult Education of Jilin University is the centralized management department of adult education of Jilin University. Mainly responsible for the management and operation of academic education, self-study examination education, various forms of continuing education and some international cooperative education within the national adult plan, the examination and approval of the establishment of distance education stations, the enrollment of distance education and the issuance of graduation certificates. At present, the state plans to enroll more than 25,000 students in academic education, offering 77 undergraduate (junior college) majors, providing correspondence, part-time and full-time learning, and nearly 65,438 correspondence stations and schools. There are more than 10,000 students in the self-taught class 1, 2 undergraduate majors1,and 20 specialist majors. Continuing education provides knowledge and skills training for on-the-job professionals in various industries. The "General Practice Training Center" approved by the Health Department of Jilin Province undertakes the task of general practice training in the whole province. At the same time, the Department of Adult Education is actively carrying out and developing international cooperative education by jointly running schools with Utah State University.

The Department of Adult Education has initiated the transformation project of traditional adult education and modern distance education, organically combining modern distance education with traditional adult education, and better promoting the process of building a modern, diversified, scientific and standardized school-running system.
