Examples of Confucius' View on Education and Teaching Methods (Ⅱ)

-Be familiar with students and teach students in accordance with their aptitude.

1, education is life. According to reports, Confucius attaches great importance to the systematic and comprehensive education of his disciples, which is not limited to the classroom, but also includes teaching materials. Instead, actively guide students into life, into nature, and approach the Surabaya River, so that every flower and grass are full of affection, every tree is open, and every mountain and water is cultivated. Educating disciples with extensive and profound life textbooks is consistent with the educational concept of the great education concept that we advocate today.

2. Democratic and equal teacher-student relationship. Confucius has a spring, which is full of deep feelings between teachers and students. After reading it, I feel very deeply. For example, "On the grassy riverside, disciples are surrounded by teachers, some squatting and some sitting. The teacher plucked the strings and the disciples sang along. " When Confucius listened to the ambitions of Lutz and Yan Hui, who had different personalities, "Confucius looked at them approvingly and nodded slightly." When Yan Hui played the piano and sang, "Confucius listened first, and after a while, he couldn't help dancing." Wait a minute. There is no dignity of Confucius as a teacher. Teachers and students are like friends. It is on the basis of this democratic and equal teacher-student relationship that disciples can speak freely and teachers and students can discuss together to realize "mutual learning and learning", which truly embodies that "teaching is a process of equal communication between teachers and students."

3. Heuristic education thought. Confucius actively advocated the educational thought that "no anger means power, no anger means sorrow, and no hair means self". This article is a good testimony. Confucius led his disciples to play by the Surabaya River. At first glance, Confucius' educational activity was an accident, but it was not. We might as well think like this: Spring is here. Why did Confucius choose Surabaya instead of other places? This is because "Confucius heard that Surabaya was in the spring tide", and Surabaya was a vibrant period at this time. So, why did Confucius choose a place with water? That's because Confucius "always looks at water when he meets it, and there must be a reason." (Yan Hui) It can be inferred that Confucius had made a grand statement about "water" before this, and this trip to Surabaya was an educational activity carefully designed by Confucius. When Confucius stared at Surabaya with rapt attention, his disciples "all looked at the teacher with puzzled eyes". "Yan Hui said,' When a teacher meets water, he must look at it, and there is a reason. Can you tell us? At this time, the disciples have reached a state of "anger" and "regret". When Confucius saw that the time had come, he initiated a discussion about "water is a true gentleman". The disciples were "all surprised" after hearing this. They didn't expect that "the teacher saw such a profound truth from this ordinary river!" It can be seen that the education received by the disciples is so profound!

It is precisely because his disciples were deeply educated by the idea of "true gentleman" that Confucius guided Luz and Yan Hui to establish a correct life ambition and guide his disciples to be a "true gentleman" in words and deeds. Its education can be described as natural. In this educational activity, Confucius did not "tell" his disciples, but guided them to "discover" on their own initiative, thus achieving "self-education". This heuristic educational thought has positive guiding significance for our education and teaching today.
