Six kinds of certificates that are not accepted

The Service Center for Studying Abroad of the Ministry of Education no longer accepts foreign language tuition fees, certificates of completion of informal courses, certificates of research experience of advanced learners and visiting scholars, preparatory certificates of foreign educational institutions, degree certificates of cooperative education or higher education diplomas that have not been approved by domestic educational departments, foreign degree certificates or higher education diplomas obtained through correspondence, distance education and online education, and honorary titles or degree certificates of non-academic qualifications abroad.

Scope of recipient countries

The Service Center for Studying Abroad of the Ministry of Education accepts the accreditation of foreign academic degrees from 33 major countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Britain and France. International students should pay attention to the fact that the study abroad service center of the Ministry of Education only accepts academic degree certification from these countries.

Query authentication information

The Ministry of Education has opened the public inquiry function of overseas academic degree certificate certification information registration through the education foreign-related supervision information network. With their names and ID numbers, international students can inquire about the registration information of their overseas academic degree certificates, so as to better understand their academic qualifications.
