1938101On October 27th, the Ministry of Education of the National Government approved the formal establishment of the National Teachers' College, with Liao Shicheng as the principal and the school located in Lantian Town, Anhua County, Hunan Province. The National Teachers' College is a gathering of talents, and many famous scholars gather here, including Qian Zhongshu, Pi Mingju, Meng Xiancheng, Chen, Gao Juefu and Chu Anping.
1938 Anhui University (Anhui Provincial University) and Shandong University (some books, instruments and equipment) were merged into the National Teachers College.
1939 Changsha battle, the college closed.
1940 In April, the Executive Yuan of the National Government passed a resolution to name the school National Chung Cheng University.
1947 National Teachers College resumed classes.
1949 Teachers College for Nationalities (attached middle school) participated in the merger and formation of Hengshan Middle School.

1953 Hunan university (the former national teachers college and some departments of arts and sciences of Hunan university) was revoked and converted into Hunan teachers college.
From 65438 to 0953, Pingyuan Normal University joined and merged to form Henan Normal University, which was restructured into Henan Normal University (Xinxiang Second Hospital) and later developed into Henan Normal University.

1996 became the only provincial university in Hunan province to enter the first batch of national "2 1 1 project" key construction universities.
Since 2000, Hunan Education College and Hunan Medical College have merged, and the new Hunan Normal University has gradually taken shape.
