The theme of the WWF logo is a giant panda. In fact, this lovely giant panda has a real prototype called "Gigi". This is a female giant panda, which was bought by Austrian animal dealer Heini Demer on 1958. She exchanged three giraffes, two rhinos, a hippo and a zebra for a female giant panda in Beijing Zoo, and later lived in London Zoo.
When WWF was founded, Xixi, a giant panda, visited London Zoo in England. WWF recognizes that an influential organization logo can overcome all language barriers. So I agree to use the panda image as the symbol of the organization. Since then, the giant panda has become a symbol of the global conservation movement.
