Baltic State Technical University was founded in 1930, formerly known as Leningrad Institute of Mechanical Engineering. Mainly for the national defense industry and scientific research departments to train senior engineering and technical personnel. At present, there are 7 departments, 42 teaching and research sections and more than 6,500 students. Among the more than 50,000 graduates trained, many have become famous designers, craftsmen and industrial departments. Some of them won awards from the state and government, and more than 30 people won the title of Soviet hero. Rocket manufacturing, rocket engine, flight mechanics, spacecraft control, design and manufacture of pulse heat engine and gas device, automatic control system, robot, radio electronic system, spacecraft, laser technology and other majors 14. Amazing achievements have been made in teaching and scientific research, from a national defense industrial school to a comprehensive university. As one of the founders of the former Leningrad International Science and Technology Park, the school has established an integrated center of teaching, scientific research and production, and cooperated with many large western companies to develop high-tech achievements.
