I. History Department and Institutional Setup The Music Department was formally established in March 1994. Its predecessor was the National Music Research Institute established in the early 1980s and the Music Research Institute expanded in June, 5438+0986. Musicians Su Min, Song Danone, Li and Huang Wanpin all served as directors or directors of the research office, and Yan Manqiu was the first department head. Those who have been transferred include Professor Pu Hengqiang, who now works in the Conservatory of Music of Nanjing Normal University. The department has three teaching and research sections, namely, music history, folk music and music therapy, which are respectively headed by Luo Tian Quan, Zhu Jiangshu and Gan Shaocheng. 2. Third, the professional direction and school-running ideas This department has two teaching levels: undergraduate and master. Bachelor degree for 4 years, with three major directions: musicology theory, music therapy, music news and criticism. In terms of school-running ideas, the department will give full play to its own professional advantages, closely focus on the training objectives of each major, conscientiously implement the policy of "education should face modernization, the world and the future", actively rely on the strong support of the college, continuously expand its school-running ideas in the future, and strive to show its professional characteristics. Training objectives and requirements Among the three major directions offered by the department, the training objectives of musicology theory are: to be a teacher of music theory courses; Music cadres who can study, organize, manage and guide the music culture market. The training goal of music therapy is to become a practicing physician and health care consultant of music therapy. The training goal of music news and commentary is to become a media worker who can report, comment, edit and plan music news. In view of the above objectives, we pay attention to cultivating students to become talents combining theory with application: students are required to have a solid foundation of music theory, comprehensive cultural knowledge and comprehensive personal qualities, and at the same time, they must master certain music singing and playing skills.
