College entrance examination (the examination system for higher vocational students to enter undergraduate colleges) generally refers to the college entrance examination for ordinary higher education, and the college entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities, referred to as "ordinary college entrance examination", is a selective examination for qualified college graduates and former college graduates.
The general college entrance examination belongs to the provincial unified enrollment standard selection examination, which is led by the provincial education department, organized and managed by the provincial education examination institute, and implemented by the recruitment agencies in each district and city. The candidates for the examination are fresh graduates from full-time colleges and universities.
In essence, it is the connection between junior college education and undergraduate professional education, and the 3+2 model is implemented, that is, three years of full-time study for general college students and two years of full-time study for general undergraduate students (three years of clinical medicine).
After the junior college students in ordinary colleges and universities complete the course study in the junior college stage, according to the national enrollment plan of ordinary colleges and universities and the national enrollment plan of professional colleges and universities compiled by the Ministry of Education and the National Development and Reform Commission in that year (the number of enrollment plans is controlled within 5% of the total number of graduates of ordinary full-time ordinary colleges and universities in all provinces in that year).
Host schools of tertiary institutions:

Ordinary colleges and universities that can take the general college entrance examination: ordinary colleges and universities at all specialist levels, including public and private undergraduate colleges; Public and private higher vocational and technical colleges (higher vocational colleges); Public and private colleges (colleges).
2. Ordinary colleges and universities that can accept students from ordinary colleges and universities: ordinary undergraduate colleges and universities that meet the national standards, with the approval of the Provincial Department of Education, can recruit outstanding vocational college graduates to enter the undergraduate stage according to the prescribed recommended selection procedures and quotas. The first, second and third types of national public and private colleges and universities all have the qualifications for enrollment in ordinary colleges and universities.
According to the notice of the Ministry of Education and the National Development and Reform Commission, since 2005, the key universities under the "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project" will no longer hold general undergraduate education in principle.
