1933, gagne entered Yale university to major in psychology. 65438-0937 entered Brown University for postgraduate study. It was changed to experimental psychology. 1939 and 1940, Gagne received a master's degree in science and a doctorate in philosophy from Brown University.
From 65438 to 0940, Gagne taught at Connecticut Women's University and began to study human learning, but it was interrupted due to lack of funds and military training. 1958 was hired as a professor of psychology by Princeton University and resumed his research and study. 1962- 1965, gagne served as research director of the American association for scientific research and professor of educational psychology at the university of California, Berkeley. Gagne has been a professor in the Department of Education of Florida State University since 1969. Gagne enjoys a high reputation in the field of American psychology. 1974 won the "Thorndike Prize in Educational Psychology"; 1982 was awarded the "Applied Psychology Award" by the American Psychological Association.
